Apartamento Cookbook #7: Late-Night Meals

Apartamento Magazine is a Barcelona-based publication dedicated to interior design. Each year they publish a slender, themed cookbook which features recipes from interesting figures in the international worlds of cooking, art, design, and fashion.

Among the sixteen contributors of late-night food to this volume, published in 2022, are:

• Andoni Luis Aduriz of Mugaritz, who offers a corn tortilla sandwich with blue cheese and anchovies

• Ignasi Monreal, a visual artist, shares his mother’s version of aioli

• Yemisi Aribisala, the essayist, turns to a Nigerian pastry called alkaki

• Architect Sam Chermayeff think of Frank Sinatra as he makes Caesar salad.

Happily, the book does not take itself or its mission too seriously.
